Word from the Pastor

...Christ  who were in Ephesus.

Let me ask you the same question: have you received the baptism of the Holy Spirit since you have been saved? It is available to every believer and should be sought after earnestly.

Acts 1:4 tells us that Jesus commanded His followers to wait in Jerusalem until they received the promise of the Father to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. Jesus knew they needed the power of the Holy Spirit to be bold witnesses of Him to the lost. So they waited and prayed for ten days and they were all baptized in the Holy Spirit, all 120 of them.

Acts 2:4 says, "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

We still need the power of the Holy Spirit today to reach the lost. Zechariah 4:6B says, "Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts." It is only by the convicting power of the Holy Spirit that people will be saved.

2 Peter 3:9 says, "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance."

If you are born again and have never been baptized in the Holy Spirit with the outward physical evidence of speaking in tongues, I urge you to ask Jesus to baptize you today.  And if you have not spoken in tongues for a long time, ask Jesus to refill you with His Spirit.

Folks, I believe Jesus is coming back very soon and we need to be serious about reaching the lost before it is to late. Let the Holy Spirit work in you and through you to be a bold witness for Jesus.

I look forward to seeing you all in church on Sundays,

     God Bless You!
